ACCEPTED PAYMENT TYPES?

Mez’s Costumes accepts payment through the secure online payment method PayPal. You can pay without the need to register an account or use your existing PayPal account. The total will be taken immediately at the checkout when you commit to buy. For more information on PayPal please visit the official PayPal site.

ABOUT PAYPAL

Mez’s Costumes offers an alternative secure payment method via PayPal. PayPal do not insist you open an account, making payment by Credit or Debit card even easier. It’s advised you do create an account to enable the benefits of signing up with PayPal, such as buyer protection and faster checkout next time without the need to enter your card details.

When paying through PayPal the total order amount will be paid for immediately at checkout when you commit to buy. The items will then be dispatched when we process the order as quickly as we can. Any cancelled orders will be refunded as quickly as possible. Any returns will always be charged back to your original payment method.

PLACING AN ORDER

Add items to your basket, then select checkout and follow the onscreen instructions.

Select PayPal as method of payment; again follow the on screen instructions.

PayPal will then charge you the order total and Pay Mez’s Costumes this amount.

You are not charged any administration fees for this service.

Once your order has been successfully processed you will be redirected to a page showing you your order details and number.

You will then receive 2 emails one from PayPal confirming payment and one from Mez’s Costumes confirming your order. If you are not redirected to the order detail page or you do not receive a confirmation email from PayPal or Mez’s Costumes it is likely an error occurred while placing the order. Please check you customer account if the order does not appear here it was not processed correctly.

If you receive an email from PayPal to confirm payment but do not receive an email from Mez’s Costumes confirming your order please contact us at info@mezscostumes.ie or call us on 091566667. Please have your order details and PayPal details to help us resolve the issue.

WHAT CURRENCIES DO YOU ACCEPT?

All prices are quoted in Euro only.

Your Credit Card Company or PayPal will convert the currency at point of purchase as per the exchange rate at the time of purchase.

Mez’s Costumes has no control over this process and therefore suggests you check the currency exchange rate before proceeding with your purchase.

Mez’s Costumes collects and processes your information in order to:

  • Identify you each time you visit out site to process orders or enquiries submitted by you.

TO WHOM IS INFORMATION SHARED?

Mez’s Costumes will not share or sell any of your information to third parties.

We may disclose statistics regarding traffic to our site but this will not include any personal information.

Mez’s Costumes may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property or personal safety of our site.

Mez’s Costumes supplies links to third party sites, we do not hold any responsibility for privacy policies of these sites.


HOW DO YOU USE COOKIES?

Cookies are pieces of information a website transfers to your hard drive to store and sometimes track information about you. Refund Policy


HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN AN ITEM?

There are no returns or exchanges on change of mind items.

Should an item be faulty you should let us know within 7 working days of purchase. If the item is proven faulty at time of purchase you will be entitled to either a repair, replacement, credit note or refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

All items returned must be posted to Mez’s Costumes, No 5 Middle Street, Galway City, Galway. If we are happy this was faulty at time of purchase we will refund the cost of postage and packaging to you.

All items must be free of smoke, perfume or any other odour, if not there will be no refund and the cost of postage and packaging of the return will not be refunded to you, we will then send the costume back to you (at your cost) or destroy it. As all items are checked at time of dispatch, so this is unlikely to happen.


Product Care

Please make sure the item is not visibly worn, damaged, marked in anyway with pen or grease, washed, smells of smoke, aftershave, perfume, deodorant or washing powder, or is any condition that we deem renders the item unsaleable. This includes wearing shoes outside where the sole becomes marked and no longer is box fresh.

All items must be returned with all relevant swing tags, labeling, branding and any accompanying marketing material specific to the item. This INCLUDES the outer box for shoes, please don’t stick stamps to box and return it like that!

Occasionally we offer free items with your purchase. If you are returning your item for a refund these free item must also be returned at the same time.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN AN ITEM?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the items to us in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of receipt and we will issue a full refund.

Please enclose your completed returns form, which can be found on the back of your invoice enclosed with your order. If you have lost your invoice, you can request another returns form by contacting us here.

Please make sure the item is not visibly worn, damaged, marked in anyway with pen or grease, washed, smells of smoke, aftershave, perfume, deodorant or washing powder, or is any condition that we deem renders the item unsaleable.

All items must be returned with all relevant swing tags, labeling, branding and any accompanying marketing material specific to the item. This INCLUDES the outer box that the product may come in. If the box is damaged it means the product cannot be resold to another customer, we don’t have spare boxes.

Occasionally we offer free items with your purchase. If you are returning your item for a refund any free item(s) must also be returned at the same time.

Please enclose your completed returns form, which can be found on the back of your invoice enclosed with your order. If you have lost your invoice, you can request another copy here.

Shipping


GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

Please allow 2 working days for delivery of items. We will endeavor to get all items delivered ‘next day delivery’ when you place your order before midday.

Postage and packaging costs €7.00 for delivery anywhere in Ireland. (no matter what weight the package is)

All packages will need to be signed for so please provide an address and Mobile Number to allow for this. If for any reason you have not received your package on time please contact us on 00353(0)91566667. We also allow for items to be picked up in-store (please state clearly when processing your order that you wish to collect your purchase in-store), once purchased items need to be collected within 7 days.

Mez’s Costumes takes your security very seriously and encrypts consumer data, such as credit card numbers, when you order directly through the website. We transfer the encrypted data over the Internet using secure socket layer (SSL) 256 bit technology so that your online shopping experience is safe and secure. We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet.

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS ACCESSING YOUR SITE

We suggest that you have the latest version of your operating system provider e.g. Windows, OSX etc. as this is likely to give you better operability and security.

Does the issue occur from another computer?

If you’re still having problems, contact our Customer Care Team here and include:

  • As much detail as you can about the issue.
  • Screen shots of any error message you get.
  • Which web browser you are using (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari etc.)
  • What you have done so far to try to resolve it.

I GET “HTTP ERROR 400. THE REQUEST IS BADLY FORMED” WHEN ACCESSING PAGES ON THE WEBSITE

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

“Clear the Cache”:

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): “Clear Now”

“Remove Cookies” from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: “Show Cookies”
